After the Dodgers weaseled on the blockbuster trade, D-Backs Ace expressed concern about newly-acquired pitcher from PV East, Alex Estrada. An unnamed source has revealed Johnson as saying,"I can't shine with that kid around. I only hope we can work together like I did with Schill."

Estrada's salary, 5 bucks a week allowance and unlimited account at Game Crazy, makes the young righty the right choice for any team.

The 4 foot 5 Ace was unavailable once again for comment due to an extended Halo 2 game.

Johnson Trade Done

Estrada Takes the Mound

It's official. Randy Johnson is off to New York and the D-Backs have a new starting pitcher in Alex Estrada, age 11. The right handed hurler also brings phenomenal power at the plate with a 3rd highest batting average coming off a stellar Fall Ball season with the Red Sox. Estrada's agent, and dad, commented, "Alex will bring a youthfulness and energy not seems since the Baby Backs. There has never been a pitcher I've seen with such a powerful bat." Estrada himself was unavailable for comment because, well, he was doing his chores.

The Meaning of Christmas

I love seeing this headline. It is usually followed by talk of family and friends getting together to share holiday cheer. But, duh, there would be no Christmas without Jesus Christ (Christmas)! But I won't go on and on about how society has basically removed Christ from Christmas and replaced it with materialistic notions about family and a big fat guy that may have been invented by the Coca Cola company. Maybe you should just be freaking honest and call it Cashmas, or Giftmas, or something like that.

The cool thing and a real blessing at my house is that we are actually celebrating Jesus Christ. Yeah I know He wasn't really born on Dec. 25th, but whatever. This is the day we go all out about it. Actually, we try to celebrate Christmas everyday. We all begin our day talking to Him, and continue our relationships throughout the day, ending with family prayer thanking Him for another day. This is the true meaning of Christmas, 365 days a year.

Oh yeah, I bought some presents! You bet! I can't say cuz my boy might read this...HEY ALEX, YOU GOT A ______ AND A ________!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is is different from last year in that last year I had made a lot of money and went all out with the gifts. They had my own lane at Home Depot and our kitchens is now filled with brushed chrome appliances, my son is still glued to his XBOX, my daughter still rides her Princess trike and my mountain bike still rocks. But alas we are a bit on the thin side this year (not me but our funds!) This has made it a bit difficult for Angell and I but we are being very creative to get the kids stuff. I recommended she go to Goodwill and find me a couple funky shirts.

I look foward to making tamales and having friends pop in and out and just hanging out with the fam. I have the most wonderful gift, eternal life from accepting the gift of Jesus Christ. Then I have an absolutely beautiful wife, wonderful and rowdy kids, and a family of brothers and sisters in Christ.

Being a bit broke has reminded us it isn't about money or gifts...(tell that to my kids!) Actually, my boy prayed that last night, "...God thank for Christmas, and I know it's not all about the presents" That's an 11-year-old boy talking to God. What a gift!

To the few of you that read this thing, I hope you have a good and happy Christmas...CHRISTmas. God Bless!
