Happy Belated Birthday Pete!!

I have an excuse for not posting this yesterday...I was in bed sick, but here goes anyway. Yesterday was the birthday of one of the most influential persons in my life not related to me. A few others are in there too...these guys named John, Paul, George, and Ringo, some dude named Jimi, a very cool cat named Jesus, a teacher from high school named Barclay, and a few others BUT one stands out from my childhood. None other than Pete Townshend from The Who! Oh, how you say can he be above someone like Jesus? Well, I didn't know Jesus then.

When I was a kid, like today, music was the only thing that made sense. Song lyrics were my gospel and Pete was like Saint Paul to me. Townshend's penchant for penning songs of teenage angst were just what I needed as an angry, misunderstood, creative (with few outlets), hurt, and lonely teenager. I think the masterpiece Quadrophenia hit me the hardest. A story of a young man with parents who didn't understand him, a society that made no sense, and four different personalities. Two songs in particular, I'm One, and 5:15 hit home the hardest. I remember thinking, "someone finally understands me". But enough about me.

I raise a glass to a genius, a true artist, and the master of smashing guitars!

LONG LIVE ROCK and PETE TOWNSHEND!!
Thank God you didn't die before you got old!

Law of Attraction Weekend!!

I just wanted to share some LoA magic with you all! I have been moonlighting with this patio furniture sales thing with some friends. WELL, I had a HUGE Saturday...all I did was post a craigslist ad and took a couple calls. Well one couple came to the warehouse and looked around. My friend/"boss" was there and while I basically told jokes and played hide and seek, she talked specifics to the folks to the tune of a $4500 sale (I got a sweet commish). THEN, out of nowhere, while I was playing "hide the book" with my "clients" kids, this couple walks in and within an hour bought over $3200 worth of stuff right off the bat...I told jokes and pointed at different pieces and fabrics. I basically goofed off, played with kids, and chatted up folks to the tune of what would be half of one of my JOB paychecks in about 4 hours!! We're talking almost $300 an hour!!!

So why am I telling you this? Because I TOTALLY attribute this success to practicing the Law of Attraction. I was actually very calm when I found out my commission because it was like a voice said calmly, this is just a sample of what the Law of Attraction has for you...now have some more!

Peace, love, abundance, and rock and roll to you all!!

Promise Yourself

This from Christian Larson's book that I found on Transforming Chronic Illness into Vibrant Health. I HIGHLY recommend you go there!

Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear; and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words but in great deeds.
To live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

Promise Yourself These Things!

More Notes From The Universe

Actually, trusting what you cannot touch, taste, hear, smell, or see is ultimately how you'll touch, taste, hear, smell, and see the most.

And we're talkin' all that glitters, giggles, and gallops, for starters....
